This class is reserved for existing families only. The class will open for new Families Fall 2026.
We are excited to share that we were able to lower tuition by nearly $200 for this season. This is the pilot season of our Homeschool Drop-Off Forest Class, and we need our community to join us so we can successfully launch this offering in Fall 2026.
Although this class is designed as a drop-off experience, families are not required to drop off right away. Parents and caregivers are welcome to stay for all or part of the full 5-hour day, finding comfort and confidence at their own pace as children transition into independence.
The homeschool curriculum is intentionally developed to offer a more advanced learning experience, while our Parent–Child experience is thoughtfully geared toward our youngest learners, ages 0–4. We are hoping to welcome at least 10 children into this class so the curriculum and community can fully come to life.
The curriculum includes:
Bushcraft and land-based skills
Nature awareness and seasonal learning
Gentle academics
Collaborative play and problem-solving
The day is structured to allow ample space for learning, growth, and curiosity, balancing rhythm with flexibility.
Our Homeschool Drop-Off Forest Class is a nurturing, nature-immersed experience for children ages 4 and up who are ready to participate independently, without a caregiver present. The day follows a full, thoughtful rhythm rooted in curiosity, movement, and meaningful connection to the land.
Learning is learner-focused rather than teacher-directed. Guides observe, listen, and respond to children’s interests, supporting emergent learning through play, exploration, storytelling, seasonal crafts, hiking, and collaborative problem-solving. Rather than rigid lessons, children are invited into deep engagement with the natural world and one another.
Children spend their days building, creating, imagining, and learning alongside peers, developing confidence, resilience, social awareness, and a strong sense of belonging. Learning unfolds organically as children observe wildlife, navigate challenges together, practice cooperation, and explore in all seasons (with safety-centered adaptations as needed).
All staff receive intentional training specific to this program. Guides are trained by our Education Coordinator, who holds degrees in education and brings years of experience in both traditional and outdoor learning environments. All staff are:
Certified in CPR and First Aid
Mandated reporters
Trained in Nonviolent Communication, supporting emotional awareness, respectful relationships, and compassionate conflict resolution
This experience is especially well-suited for homeschooling families seeking a consistent, outdoor-based learning environment that honors childhood while supporting independence, responsibility, and a lifelong relationship with nature.
Parents or caregivers are always welcome to stay and participate if needed; however, participation does not change tuition or the structure of the class, which is designed to support children’s growing independence.
Join us this pilot season and help shape the future of our school.
We hope you will be apart of our First ever Homeschool Class!
